To make a rational investment decision, an investor should be thoroughly familiar with the target company as well as its intrinsic value. Fundamental analysis is a tool that enables investors to gain a detailed understanding of a company's operations by studying the internal and external factors that influence its business performance. When assessing the intrinsic value of a company, investors have several methods at their disposal, with the most well-known and commonly used being the discounted cash flow method and the comparable companies method. This paper provides an overview of the theoretical framework of fundamental analysis and describes the process of the analysis itself through a "top-down" approach, which begins with a macroeconomic analysis, followed by an industry analysis, and finally an analysis of the company. Additionally, the paper details methods for estimating fair value based on the present value of cash flows and methods based on multiples. The goal of the paper is to assess the fair value of Cenergy Holdings S.A., a holding company that generates revenue through two Greek companies in which it holds 100% ownership. The company is one of the leading entities in the market for equipment and infrastructure necessary for the transmission of electricity, as well as oil & gas, and hydrogen. This is an attractive market that is at the center of the energy transition. The value of the company was assessed using a combination of the present value of cash flows method and the multiples method, or comparable companies method.
