This graduate thesis shows the motivation of employees by comparing two educational institutions. The object of empirical research is the kindergarten Zvončić Ozalj and the elementary school "Slava Raškaj" Ozalj. The survey was conducted through a survey. The aim of this study was to see how many employees of these two institutions are motivated and satisfied with the job. Employee motivation can be seen through human behavior and work performance. Motivation is a complex system and can be stimulated through two types of motivational techniques. The two basic motivation techniques are material and non-material compensation. Material compensations relate to ensuring and improving the material position of employees. While non-material compensations encourage work and meet the diverse needs of people in organizations. There are many factors that motivate motivation, but there are also factors that kill motivation and demote individuals and their work. Self-conscious procedures can destroy motivation. An important factor for developing and advancing a career is an assessment of performance and a suitable reward system. Remuneration system is an essential part of every organization, resulting in employee satisfaction. Research on employee motivation - a comparison of two educational institutions conducted through a survey of Zvončić Ozalj kindergarten and elementary school "Slava Raškaj" Ozalj. The results of the research have shown that the motivation of employees in kindergarten and elementary school is most affected by the necessity of retention. It is a very bad indication that the kindergarten staff would not remain in the current institution for a different institution to offer the same amount of salary, while elementary school staff would remain in the current institution. Research has shown that employees of both institutions are not motivated. Another bad indicator is that kindergarten workers, unlike primary school employees, fail to complete their work assignments during their working hours. One of the good indicators is that employees of both institutions feel that they have the ability to give their ideas, suggestions and innovations. Unlike primary school employees, kindergarten workers consider that their institution does not invest enough in education and training. Employees of both institutions have very demotivating information to believe that success requires a "link". This shows that business success is not enough effort, commitment, and motivation for man.
