Changes in the market are omnipresent, which need to be responded to and adapted to ensure market survival. Over the past few decades, major changes have been visible in the social aspect, especially in pet ownership. Research indicates that a large number of the population of the Republic of Croatia owns a pet. Observing the changes both in the market and in society the owner of the investment noticed a great demand for keeping pets and too little supply of the same. From that commitment, the idea of the project of opening a hotel for animals "Njuškice" was created. The project would be invested by a combination of own sources (savings) and other people's sources (HBOR loan). The hotel for animals is designed on the site of the town of Grobnik, primarily a suburb consisting of land, and family houses with large gardens. The owner of the investment considers Grobnik an ideal location for his project, imagining a hotel in the space of a prefabricated one-storey house, with a large garden area, ideal for housing for animals. The diploma thesis consists of theoretical elaboration of the project, from essential characteristics, features, types and life cycle, determination of project management all the way to elaboration of basic data about the project to economic-financial analysis which determines the profitability of the project.
