Bachelor thesis was written about the import process and the import procedure of the pharmaceutical company JGL plc, JGL is the leading company in Croatia for the procurement and production of medical products related to the ear, throat and nose. The concept of thesis takes into account JGL's relationship with their business partners from whom they purchase raw materials and finished products. The main goal of this final paper is to show the steps that JGL undertakes in order to import products to Croatia from EU members and from countries which are not part of EU, presenting the documentation that are prepared in the import process, and understanding the regulations and rules that must be followed and respected in order for the import procedure to be successful. The source that contributed the most to the creation of the work was the consultation with the employees of JGL plc, working in the field of procurement and human resources. From them, it was easier to learn about the process of importing goods and what all must go through in order to carry out the import itself, apart from consultations with the company, scientific articles and books, reliable websites and portals for statistical research were used. The preparation of the final thesis contributed to understanding of the importance of the import and export processes for the company, considering that it allows them to maintain competitiveness on the market, but also for the state, considering that international trade is one of the main factors that leads to economic development.
