Abstract
Akvizicije i spajanja predstavljaju strategije širenja poduzeća, kroz različite faze razvoja. Glavni cilj akvizicije i spajanja je postizanje pozitivnih rezultata kod preuzimatelja akvizicije, što ujedno označava i uspjeh navedenog procesa. Ovi postupci pridonose rastu i vrijednosti poduzeća, omogućujući pristup novim resursima i izgradnju poslovne strategije. More akvizicije Nokije od strane Microsofta, a fokus je stavljen na njihov učinak poslovanja i konkurentnosti. Cilj akvizicija Nokije od strane Microsofta 2014. godine bio je spajanje hardverskog i softverskog znanja radi jačanja pozicije na tržištu pametnih telefona. Međutim, proces se suočio s brojnim izazovima, uključujući tehničke i organizacijske poteškoće u integraciji, intenzivnu tržišnu konkurenciju te slabu prodaju Windows mobitela. Iako su se suočavali s preprekama, postignuti su značajni uspjesi, poput razvoja serije pametnih telefona Lumia i stjecanja vrijednih intelektualnih prava. Ova akvizicija omogućila je Microsoftu proširenje tržišne prisutnosti i diversifikaciju portfelja te pridonijelo njihovoj dugoročnoj konkurentnosti unatoč početnim izazovima. Less
Abstract (english)
Acquisitions and mergers represent business expansion strategies through various stages of development. The main goal of acquisitions and mergers is to achieve positive results for the acquiring company, which also signifies the success of the process. These actions contribute to the growth and value of companies, enabling access to new resources and the development of business strategies. The motivations include increasing revenue, expanding market reach, and developing new products.... More This paper analyzes the impact of Nokia's acquisition by Microsoft, focusing on its effects on business operations and competitiveness. The goal of Microsoft's acquisition of Nokia in 2014 was to merge hardware and software expertise to strengthen its position in the smartphone market. However, the process faced numerous challenges, including technical and organizational difficulties in integration, intense market competition, and weak sales of Windows phones. Despite these obstacles, significant successes were achieved, such as the development of the Lumia smartphone series and the acquisition of valuable intellectual property rights. This acquisition allowed Microsoft to expand its market presence and diversify its portfolio, contributing to its long-term competitiveness despite initial challenges. Less
