Abstract
U diplomskome radu definira se pojam sustava upravljanja okolišem i istražuje se utjecaj implementacije istog u hotelskim poduzećima sa svrhom naglašavanja važnosti i brige o okolišu kao i održivog razvoja, uz poseban naglasak na primjer implementacije sustava u hotelskom poduzeću Valamar Riviera uz pomoć međunarodnog standarda ISO 14001. Cilj istraživanja je, na temelju obrađenog primjera primjene sustava u odabranom hotelu, predložiti smjernice unaprjeđenja za daljnje upravljanje okolišem unutar poduzeća. Uz korištenje raznih metoda u radu, poput induktivne i deduktivne metode, metode generalizacije i specijalizacije, metode klasifikacije i deskripcije i metode analize i sinteze te uz detaljniju analizu implementacije sustava upravljanja okolišem na razini hotelskih poduzeća, bit će prikazani i potkrijepljeni primjerima zaključci od krucijalne važnosti. Primjer dobre prakse u poduzeću Valamar Riviera dokazat će da implementacija sustava ima vrlo pozitivne učinke na poslovanje te da ista poboljšava poslovne procese u poduzeću.
Abstract (english)
This thesis defines the term environmental management system and explores the impact of its implementation in hotel enterprises with the purpose of emphasizing the importance and care of the environment as well as sustainable development, with particular focus on the example of implementing the system in the hotel company Valamar Riviera, with the help of the international standard ISO 14001. The goal of the research is to propose improvement guidelines for further environmental management within the company, based on the analyzed example of the system’s application in the selected hotel. With the use of various methods in the thesis, such as inductive and deductive methods, generalization and specialization methods, classification and description methods, and analysis and synthesis methods, and through a more detailed analysis of the implementation of the environmental management system at the level of hotel enterprises, crucial conclusions will be presented and supported with an example. The example of good practice in the company Valmar Riviera will prove that the implementation of the system has very positive effects on business operations and that it improves business processes within the company.
