Abstract
Diplomski rad na temu „ETF fondovi – prilike za ulaganja malih investitora" istražuje kako fondovi kojima se trguje na burzi (skraćeno ETF) malim investitorima pružaju mogućnost za izgradnju investicijskih portfelja, pristup različitim vrstama imovine te postizanje njihovih individualnih financijskih ciljeva. Naglasak rada je na ključnim značajkama i prednostima ETF fondova koji ih čine posebno prikladnima za male investitore, uključujući nisku cijenu, likvidnost, transparentnost i fleksibilnost. Rad naglašava kako ETF fondovi demokratiziraju ulaganje nudeći malim investitorima izloženost širokim tržišnim indeksima, sektorima i tematskim ulaganjima koja ranije nisu bila dostupna. Mogu bez potrebe za značajnim kapitalom ili specijaliziranim znanjem stvarati vlastite financijske portfelje. Ujedno ETF fondovi pomažu malim investitorima da prevladaju uobičajene izazove ulaganja kao što su visoke naknade i ograničen pristup mogućnostima ulaganja. Rad naglašava ulogu i važnost sudjelovanja malih investitora na današnjim financijskim tržištima.
Abstract (english)
The thesis on the topic "ETF funds - investment opportunities for small investors" explores how exchange-traded funds (abbreviated ETFs) provide small investors with the opportunity to build investment portfolios, access different types of assets and achieve their individual financial goals. The emphasis of the paper is on the key features and advantages of ETF funds that make them particularly suitable for retail investors, including low cost, liquidity, transparency and flexibility. The paper highlights how ETF funds in a way democratize investing by offering retail investors exposure to broad market indices, sectors and thematic investments that were previously unavailable. Thus, small investors today can create their own financial portfolios without the need for significant capital or specialized knowledge. At the same time, ETFs help retail investors overcome common investment challenges such as high fees and limited access to investment opportunities. It can be said that this thesis emphasizes the role and importance of the participation of small investors in today's financial markets.
