Abstract
Ekološka osviještenost društva raste u posljednjih nekoliko godina, dok su održivost i ESG faktori postali glavna tema u mnogim industrijama. Negativne efekte čovjekova djelovanja na okoliš, kao i fokusa isključivo na financijske povrate, nemoguće je ignorirati te se ideja održivog financiranja iskristalizirala kao odgovor na navedeno. Održivo financiranje proizašlo je iz ranijih ideja o održivom razvoju i društveno odgovornom poslovanju te postalo alternativa tradicionalnom financiranju. ESG faktori te upravljanje ESG rizicima temelj su za postojanje održivih financija. Održive financije na razini Europske unije razvijaju se kroz međunarodne sporazume Ujedinjenih naroda koje je potpisala Europska unija poput Programa održivog razvoja do 2030. godine – Agenda 2030 te kroz Pariški sporazum. Na razini Europske unije, priznati su Europski zeleni plan te Akcijski plan Europske komisije za financiranje održivog razvoja. Tržište održivih financija na području Europske unije razvija se te prepoznajemo brojne nove instrumente, pogotovo u segmentu zelenih financija. Usprkos tome, u razdoblju od 2020. godine do 2023. godine dolazi do kontrakcije na tržištu održivih financija.
Abstract (english)
Ecological awareness in society has been growing in recent years, while sustainability and ESG have become buzzwords in many industries. The negative effects of human actions on the environment, as well as the sole focus on financial returns, are impossible to ignore. Sustainable finance has emerged as a response to this issue. Sustainable finance developed from earlier ideas about sustainable development and at its core holds ESG considerations. International agreements such as Transforming our world: the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and the Paris Agreement, both play significant roles in developing sustainable finance market in the European union. At the EU level, we recognize The European Green Deal and the Action Plan of European Commission for financing sustainable development. Sustainable financing in the EU is developing, especially green financing, where many different financial instruments are recognized. Despite this, there was a negative trend in sustainable investing from 2020 to 2023.
