Abstract
Gamification, the use of game elements in non game settings, is gaining traction as a means to boost engagement and learning outcome s across different fields. However, the use of gamification in educational settings raises ethical concerns and needs closer inspection before adoption. This Bachelor's Thesis aims to investigate the ethical concerns associated with gamification in educa tion and its influence on student motivation levels, learning outcomes, and overall well being. In order to examine the ethical considerations related to gamification within education, a survey was carried out among students with diverse backgrounds. Throu gh this research technique, direct feedback was gathered on their views regarding the ethical implications of using game elements in educational processes. This study provides an insightful analysis by critically examining both positive and negative aspect s associated with employing gamified approaches to teaching methodologies. The outcomes will be worthwhile for policymakers and educators that aim to integrate such techniques responsibly within educational settings.
