Accounting was created due to the need to record changes in people's business life. From the beginning of accounting until today, the logic of accounting has not changed significantly, while the way of bookkeeping has changed as accounting has gone through the stages of development. The last stage of development includes the influence of information technologies on the development of accounting. Cloud accounting is an example of the latest change in the world of accounting that was born on the basis of cloud computing where internet access is required for uninterrupted business operations. It is a type of accounting where changes take place on a remote server and where all data is stored on the cloud, not on a local computer. An example of an accounting program in the cloud isthe Minimax accounting system. The objectives of the work are: to investigate and show the influence of cloud computing on the development of accounting, with the initial presentation of the chronological development of accounting and the comparison of traditional accounting and cloud accounting. Cloud accounting allows users to access data from any location where there is internet access, additional benefits include reduced business costs, remote work, data security and information availability. A survey was conducted among 60 accountants and accounting professionals with the aim of obtaining a picture of their perception of the development of cloud accounting. Accounting experts agree on cloud accounting as a progressive accounting concept that makes their work easier, reduces business costs and increases reputation.
