Abstract
Human potential is the primary source of achieving the competitive advantage of the company. Employees, their needs, motivation, and satisfaction should be a priority for organizations. To achieve the company's strategic goals, it is necessary to constantly invest in the learning and development of individuals, knowledge, innovation, and skills of employees, and overall in human resources and adequately manage human resources, especially in times of rapid and constant change. In this bachelor thesis, It will presented a way of managing human resources that becomes an essential business function and a specific philosophy and approach to management that considers people the most critical potential and a key strategic and competitive advantage. It also seeks to show and emphasize the importance of employee recognition as the most vital factor in achieving success in modern companies. Dezinsekcija d.o.o. Rijeka is a successful company whose primary focus is the systematic protection of the human environment, but thanks to an appropriate and well-developed human resources management system, this modern company successfully copes with competitive challenges. The key to facing them is a team of young, highly educated professionals.
