Abstract
Kreditni rejtinzi služe investitorima za procjenu rizika ulaganja dužnika, ali su bitni i za funkcioniranje cjelokupnog financijskog tržišta. Rejtinzi se dodjeljuju poslovnim subjektima, državama i financijskim instrumentima. Dodjela rejtinga mora biti objektivna i transparentna. Kreditne rejting agencije su u privatnom vlasništvu, a njihova uloga se svodi na ocjenjivanje kreditne sposobnosti. Standard & Poor`s, Moody´s i Fitch zauzimaju dominantnu ulogu na financijskom tržištu. Prije početka globalne financijske krize 2007. godine vladalo je veliko povjerenje u kreditne rejting agencije. Navedena kriza je prikazala nedostatke i probleme poslovanja rejting agencija, ali i potrebu dodatnog nadzora i zakonske regulacije poslovanja sudionika financijskog tržišta.
Abstract (english)
Credit ratings serve investors for assessing investment risk, but they are also essential for functioning of the entire financial market. Ratings are awarded business entities, countries and financial instruments. Rating assignment must be objective and transparent. Credit rating agencies are in the private property, their role is reduced to assessment of creditworthiness. Standard & Poor`s, Moody´s and Fitch takes dominant role on the financial market. Before the start of the global financial crisis in the 2007. year there was great confidence in the credit rating agencies. Mentioned crisis was shown shortcomings and business problem sin business of the credit rating agenties. But also the need of supervision and legal regulation of the rating business.
