Abstract
The human resource management has started to gain importance during the 20th century. In today’s world human resource is an important tool that successful companies recognize as a main resource. What the term represents is basically, different kinds of knowledge and wide range of skills that people as a resource should possess in order for organizations to be successful and achieve their goals. With managing human resources, arises the importance of right exploitation of human resource... More management functions. Some of the main functions include job analysis, planning, recruitment and selection, training and development of employees, motivation and advancement. To link the theory with practical example, Emirates Airline is used. Always classified as one of the biggest and most successful airlines today, Emirates Airline is a good example of proper management of human resources. The company which was founded only 33 years ago developed its way into top ten global airlines and a big part of that success can be attributed to quality of employees. In the paper are also shown Emirates Airline’s organizational structure and employment opportunities within the company, before theory meets practice by presenting each human resources function in Emirates. With proper analysis this paper shows how human resource functions are efficiently applied at Emirates Airline. Less
