This bachelor thesis examines the recruitment practices focusing on the interview process implemented by Lürssen Croatia as one of the largest forces in the field of maritime engineering. The interview process is essential as it provides a clear in-depth understanding of a candidate's qualifications, experience and character. It also provides an opportunity to assess soft skills, cultural fit and problem-solving abilities that are challenging to determine through tests or CVs. Through a comprehensive literature review and empirical analysis, this bachelor thesis aims to elucidate the significance of the interview method in identifying and attracting top talent to achieve the company's strategic objectives. Based on the elements of selection processes and best practices in Human Resource Management, the research presented in this bachelor thesis examines how Lürssen Croatia integrates the interview method into its broader talent acquisition strategy. The importance of the linguistic aspect of an interview is outlined. The empirical analysis entails the synthesis of theoretical and experience-based knowledge gathered at the Lürssen company's Rijeka branch while altogether being supplemented by an overall document analysis of HR policies and procedures.
