Abstract
This thesis delves into the concept of perceived value, specifically focusing on higher education institutions, with the Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka as subject of the empirical research. Theoretical framework is examined through the work of authors such as Zeithaml (1998) and Woodruff (1996, 1997). Initially formed as a unidimensional construct, perceived value was criticized for its simplicity, which led to the emergence of the multi-dimensional construct. Furthermore, the relationship between perceived value and higher education institutions is thoroughly analysed, exploring previous research done by Gaston and Nha (1999), Dobre and Milovan (2021), Takalo et al. (2013), and Teeroovengadum (2016). The empirical research was conducted through a questionnaire involving 73 current and former students of International Business at the Faculty of Economics and Business in Rijeka. It garnered valuable insight, with respondents expressing what they believed to be the faculty’s strengths and the areas they wish to see improved. Hopefully, the research sheds light onto the next steps of increasing the perceived value of the faculty, leading to an enhanced learning experience for everyone.
