The paper deals with the topic related to the characteristics of successful entrepreneurs. An entrepreneur possesses managerial skills, that is, through practice, experience and work, he creates the necessary skills, improves them and knowledge, and uses what he has learned further for upcoming challenges. A large number of managers have built-in skills that they only express and act on, mostly it all happens automatically, without any distractions because someone is simply created to be an entrepreneur. The goal of the final paper is to present the theoretical determinants of entrepreneurial skills and the career management model, as well as the impact of entrepreneurial skills on achieving career success. The purpose of the final paper is to find out the importance of entrepreneurial skills and their contribution to career management through theoretical research of the scientific literature on the mentioned topic, as well as through the implementation of a survey questionnaire. The results of a separate study on the impact of entrepreneurial skills on the achievement of business success showed that the majority of students in starting their own business are driven by the desire to achieve financial independence by the desire to have a secure job and higher income. When starting their own business, students have moderate confidence in their entrepreneurial skills, but believe that they can quickly learn and develop them. In the end, they believe that having entrepreneurial skills is key to achieving business success in the future.
