We are witnessing the formation of a new type of money, such as digital money. It is about cryptocurrencies, the significance of which will be studied through this paper. Cryptocurrency, virtual currency or digital currency, represents a money model over which the state has no authority and exists only in electronic form, unlike real currencies. The emergence of cryptocurrencies marked the beginning of the digital money revolution. In the past, the use of cryptocurrencies and their technology was reserved for individuals, but today it is becoming more widespread. More and more people are becoming interested in the crypto world, and the reason for this is undoubtedly the cryptocurrency's enormous potential. However, to use cryptocurrencies successfully, a person needs to do deep research into it and have good IT knowledge. The goal of this paper was to conduct research on cryptocurrencies and their representation in today's economy, and to gain a deeper understanding of the direction in which crypto technology goes and its influence. In this paper, research was conducted about the awareness and attitudes towards cryptocurrencies among the student population. To identify the use of cryptocurrencies in the world today and to consider the potential use of cryptocurrencies in the future. The cryptocurrency movement has been growing for over a decade, and real money goes into its development. With the growth of their popularity and use, their influence and importance on the world economy is growing. A large number of companies have begun to accept unusual digital tokens as valid forms of payment in return for products and services, while there are still a number of countries where their trading is illegal.
