Business decision-making is one of the most important functions of management. Such decisions are based on authentic information and business activities. In this context, the process of budgeting is among the most important business activities of management. The budgeting process is the foundation of planning and control. The focus of this paper is on the process and connection between planning and control and on the budget as an instrument of their implementation that has been researched and explained. In addition to the main business plan, the research is focused on creating an operational budget. Projection of the operational budget for the business year is presented and explained, while theoretical assumptions are supported by a specific example of the hotel company Amadria Park Hoteli Solaris d.d. This paper seeks to determine the role of the budgeting process that in general effects on the business of the hotel company and specifically on the company Amadria Park Hoteli Solaris d.d. Considering, that the budget is a response to a market risks and uncertainty, the paper seek to present a certain form of budgeting which ensures the anticipation and control of all business activities with the aim of successful management of the company.
