Abstract
Izravna inozemna ulaganja važan su oblik financiranja gospodarstva zemalja u razvoju europskih zemalja poput Hrvatske. One omogućuju državama da postanu konkurentnije, bez potrebe da se dalje zadužuju, te predstavljaju dobitnu kombinaciju za investitore i zemlju primateljicu. Motivi za investiranje u zemlje primateljice su različiti, mogu biti isključivo ekonomski, politički ili kombinacija različitih motiva. U ovom radu predstavljeni su neki od najvažnijih motiva za investiranje, motivi za primanje investicija, a detaljnije se i diskutira koji čimbenici doprinose faktoru privlačnosti zemlje primateljice investicije. Analiziraju se čimbenici privlačnosti Europske unije i Hrvatske, susjednih tranzicijskih zemalja, te nastoji utvrditi tijek kretanja inozemnih izravnih investicija, te njihova struktura.
Abstract (english)
Foreign direct investment is an important tool in financing developing economies, as well as the economies of transitioning countries such as Croatia. They allow these countries to become more competitive, without need to go in debt, allowing gains both for investor and the country of investment. There is number of motives to invest in such countries, some economic, political or combination of different motives. This paper covers some of the most important motives for investing countries, as well as countries in need of investment. It is also discussed about factors that help in making country more appealing for investors. Furthermore, the paper aims to discuss what makes Hungary and Croatia appealing to investors, both neighbouring transitional countries, trying to define flow of FDI in both countries, as well as their structure.
