Abstract
An overview of the economic status of Germany is described. German seaports and their role in the GDP are represented in detail. The seaports are separated by the number of container turnovers. The impact on the economy by the pandemic crisis is highlighted. Tables and quantitative figures are shown to obtain the basis for the conclusion. Macroeconomic theory knowledge is applied to make a wider framework and to reach conclusions. Empirical data is considered, as well as actual data. The development of seaports and macroeconomic results are closely linked, therefore the paper analyses the scope of the new crisis. It can be concluded that the development of this crisis is not known. Strength is dependent on the reluctance of the people to maintain calm and follow strict guidelines or rules, as well as the reaction of business sector.
