Quality, as a term, has many definitions, since in most cases it depends on a subjective impression of the ultimate consumer and therefore it is considered to be hard to measure. Quality has the utmost importance in all the stages of the business process, from the initial idea to the final product, and the company's business success depends on it. Besides that, quality must be aplied to all employee levels, from the lowest hierarchical levels to the manager and executive director.. For a company to satisfy wishes, needs and expectations of the ultimate consumer and also to stay competitive on the market, it has to constantly improve its existing products and also be inovative and enable new products to its customers, products with better quality and which are different from the competition. Quality management serves to unite the needs of the user and the creation of the product and for that, professional employees and quality equipment and machines are needed. Systems of quality management denote instructions and standards which a company has to abide by in order to provide the product that will attract buyers and build their satisfaction and loyalty. With production companies, ISO standard system is very important and its implementation during the production. On the example of a locksmith trade the importance of quality management will be shown.
